Privacy policy
The short version: we collect as little as possible, kids never need accounts, and parents can delete their data anytime.
What we collect โ and what we don't
When a parent or guardian registers a child for a class, we collect the parent's name, email, and phone number, plus only what we need about the child: first name, age, and any allergies or notes the parent chooses to share. We never collect a child's last name, contact information, or photos through this site.
Donors share their name and email for receipts. Payment card details go directly to Stripe โ they never touch our servers.
Volunteers share their name, contact info, and availability.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
This site is designed so children never need accounts, never submit forms about themselves, and are never marketed to. Registration forms are addressed to and completed by parents/guardians, who give explicit consent at registration. Course video pages contain no ads, no third-party trackers, and no comments.
How information is used
Registration details are used to run classes: confirmations, reminders, waitlist updates, and safety needs (like allergies). Donor details are used for receipts and thank-yous. We don't sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything beyond running this program.
Deleting your data
Parents may request deletion of a registration at any time by emailing hello@giveacrock.org. Program administrators can delete registration, volunteer, and donor records from their dashboard. We keep records only as long as needed to run the program.
Cookies & analytics
Public pages set no advertising or tracking cookies. Administrator sign-in uses a session cookie strictly for authentication. Embedded course videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
Who runs this site
Give a Crock runs this program on the Give a Crock platform (giveacrock.org), which provides the software for free. Questions? Contact hello@giveacrock.org.
